The Grand Union Canal near Theddingworth in south Leicestershire is a popular venue with club members, stretching from bridge 51 in the west to bridge 60 in the east, this 3 1/2 mile section provides quality all year fishing.  This canal stretch holds a good head of roach, perch, skimmers and bream with the odd carp to double figures.   A typical canal skimmer caught in late July 2009 by bridge 56.
